Youth Summer Program 2026

Empowering the Next Generation: Why Emotional Regulation is the Ultimate Summer Skill

Summer is traditionally a time for teens to take a break from school, relax, and maybe earn a little spending money. But what if a summer opportunity could offer them something even deeper? What if it could give them the tools to navigate the ups and downs of life with confidence, clarity, and resilience?

This year, we are launching an exciting 9-Week Summer Program starting July 1st for youth ages 13 to 19. It’s designed to do exactly that: provide a supportive space where teens can earn a stipend while learning how to strengthen their emotional regulation skills.

Why Focus on Emotional Regulation?

Being a teenager today comes with an overwhelming amount of pressure—from navigating social dynamics and future planning to managing day-to-day stress. Emotional regulation isn't about hiding or suppressing how we feel. It’s about building self-awareness, recognizing our triggers, and learning healthy ways to respond rather than react.

When young people master these skills, it changes everything. It boosts their confidence, improves their relationships, and sets them up for long-term success in school, work, and life.

What the Program Offers

We believe that personal growth and wellness should be accessible and rewarding. Here is what participants can expect:

  • Financial Empowerment: Teens will earn a stipend for their time, dedication, and active engagement throughout the 9 weeks.

  • Skill-Building Workshops: Interactive sessions focused on practical, real-world emotional regulation and mindfulness tools.

  • Community Connection: A safe, judgment-free space to connect with peers and grow together.

Meet Your Host: Jodie Spartz

This initiative is close to my heart. As a Philadelphia-native mental health advocate, a Los Angeles youth peer support specialist, and an NYC-trained wellness specialist, I have spent years working closely with young people to navigate life's transitions. My mission is to bridge the gap between mental wellness and practical life skills, ensuring our community's youth feel seen, heard, and fully equipped for the future.

How to Get Involved

The program kicks off on July 1st, 2026 and runs for 9 weeks. Space is limited, and we want to ensure every teen who wants a spot can secure one.

  • Who: Youth ages 13–19

  • When: Starts July 1st, 2026

  • How to Apply: If you are a parent, a youth organizer, or a teen ready to make this summer count, reach out directly via email at jodie.spartz29@gmail.com for more information.

Let’s invest in our youth this summer—not just by keeping them busy, but by empowering them from the inside out.

A Recovery Love Story

Thank you Cliff for allowing me to write the love story of you & your Beautiful wife! I found this just tear jerking ❤️        There was a time in my life when my one true love was wine and spirits. I mean I knew drinking wasn't good for me & I played around with the thought of stopping every once in a while, but never enough for anything to stick. I wasn't the AA type of guy, I didn't feel the need to express my problems with a group of people. I didn't think that would be my route to recovery if I ever decided to stop. What I didn't know was that I was right. One day I was driving, on my way to take myself fishing. I had a 12 pack of Bud Light in my ice chest in the trunk. As I was driving I couldn't wait to pop a can open & feel that cold refreshing taste.      As I drove I passed a church tent revival. I slowed down for no particular reason & laughed to myself. I guess I caught them in a moment. Watching them as they were run...

Cilla Lee-Jenkins Book 12

Remember book reports when we were in school? For some they were a dreaded terrible thing, for others they were fun ways to recall your favorite book and an easy format to tell someone what the book was about. I've decided to post some reports of books I've read recently; let's jump right in.       This book was given to me as an inspiration gift because it was noticed that I enjoy writing and reading very much. At work during down time I would write short stories and I even wrote the love story of one of my married co-workers on this blog. Matter fact the person that gave me the book!
