Critical Thinking Skills & Why we NEED them

Hey Family be4 we get into it I just want to remind ya'll Jodie Spartz wrote and published 6 books you can check them out here; https://www.lulu.com/search?sortBy=RELEVANCE&page=1&q=Jodie+Spartz&pageSize=10&adult_audience_rating=00

Critical Thinking is the capability to think on your own accord. The courage to ask the right questions internally instead of just believing what you are told. It's having the ability to break situations down analyze them, look for sound evidence and make smart choices. This implies that you have patience, which requires you to pause before reaction. When thinking critical, it's all about the raw information you have to interpret to find an unbaised solution and pass good judgement.

Let's break it all down

The Capability to think on your own Accord: If there isn't anyone around to ask a question to would you be able to figure it out on your own? Could you observe your surroundings or the situation and come up with a solution based on your own information?

The courage to ask the right questions internally: First of all it's about being able without a fault to trust your own self.  A person can only work with the information they have. Basically saying that a person has a base of data that is in their thoughts already and then they have to know how to draw data out of the given situation.

Sometimes things need to be questioned: There are times in life where you cannot just believe what you are being told. Sometimes things break down and you may have to improv a tool to fix it. Within two seconds of critical thinking even at a young age you can come to realize that the cow didn't literally jump over the moon and the dish didn't run away with a spoon but that spoon does kinda look like the tip of a flat head screw driver and you might have to use it for that one day GOTDAMNIT!

The ability to break a situation down: You have to be able to pause and stop quickly, or you just may have to react after pre calculating the situation. There is a famous technique called STOP SKILL.    S= Stop, T= Take a breath, O= observe P= Proceed mindfully.

How to Analyze a situation: The first step would be to observe your situation. (preferably in an unbiased position) see what I did there?  Step 2:  Don't guess rely on facts (Watch out for that fake news!) Step 3: If possible identify the root cause of the issue. Because you know back when the universe first started and the molecules...( Wait don't go too far in the rabbit hole tho.) Sometimes you may have to but most times NO!

How to make SMART choices: Know how to pick your battles this is important because it takes time energy and resources. All three are precious and natural so they should not be wasted. Take a moment to ask yourself, how this will affect me in the moment or in the long run. You'd want to chose the best outcome.

What is Patience?  Having a consideration of time,  or calmly allowing the use of time.in reference to how long it takes for something to happen. When it comes to having patience for people and for self there's always and unexpected element that can make everything feel like a emergency/crisis. It is a hard component to control. That's when acceptance comes in and you have to consider the unknown, unknowns.

If you've read this far and you started off thinking that maybe you weren't a critical thinker. As you apply this knowledge and come to an understanding of how it works you will begin to have patience (special time set aside) with your self when your organizing your thoughts and you too can become an expert CRITICAL THINKER!

Thank you for you patience,

A Recovery Love Story

Thank you Cliff for allowing me to write the love story of you & your Beautiful wife! I found this just tear jerking ❤️        There was a time in my life when my one true love was wine and spirits. I mean I knew drinking wasn't good for me & I played around with the thought of stopping every once in a while, but never enough for anything to stick. I wasn't the AA type of guy, I didn't feel the need to express my problems with a group of people. I didn't think that would be my route to recovery if I ever decided to stop. What I didn't know was that I was right. One day I was driving, on my way to take myself fishing. I had a 12 pack of Bud Light in my ice chest in the trunk. As I was driving I couldn't wait to pop a can open & feel that cold refreshing taste.      As I drove I passed a church tent revival. I slowed down for no particular reason & laughed to myself. I guess I caught them in a moment. Watching them as they were run...

Cilla Lee-Jenkins Book 12

Remember book reports when we were in school? For some they were a dreaded terrible thing, for others they were fun ways to recall your favorite book and an easy format to tell someone what the book was about. I've decided to post some reports of books I've read recently; let's jump right in.       This book was given to me as an inspiration gift because it was noticed that I enjoy writing and reading very much. At work during down time I would write short stories and I even wrote the love story of one of my married co-workers on this blog. Matter fact the person that gave me the book!
