2 Letters 2 Myself

 PAST ME.                                                                  Written 12/2/25

Lil girl as my godmother lovingly called me. I forgive you for dragging us through the fire, for so many necessary and unnecessary reasons. You were so angry that every decision you made came out of it. Anger, fear, frustration, and desperation drove your every move. I understand now that living in that kind of space is the recipe for chaos and destruction. Something inside you wanted to stop living and just let it all go. While a stronger part of you wanted to FIGHT! Your past felt like war and your presence is discovering a peace you didn't know existed.

You were always scared to be alone, scared of your thoughts, scared to make a decision and completely terrified of a "good day." I took an intense amount of work to get where you are in this present day. I know you could only move with the knowledge you had at the time. Which was not a lot. You got stuck in the dark for about 18 years. Today is a new day and the light finally came on.

Love you bunches,

Present Me

FUTURE ME

Gurl,

We've come along way it's the end of 2025! I'm surprised your alive and didn't actually die from a broken heart. The amount of healing you're doing and have done is absolutely phenomenal. I am so proud of you! If RESILIENCE was a person it would be shown through you. I admire you so much and sometimes I wonder how you survived. So many days you wanted to give up, so many days tired and beat down. Now you stand dusted off, polished and shining for your world to see. The spirits have chosen you to be the light. I know you still get intrusive thoughts; but these days you can show them your strength. You let them know I see you and you do not control me. You have the strength to go further than you've ever dreamed and I know you will because the RESILIENCE in you will die trying!

Always in my heart,

Future Me

A Recovery Love Story

Thank you Cliff for allowing me to write the love story of you & your Beautiful wife! I found this just tear jerking ❤️        There was a time in my life when my one true love was wine and spirits. I mean I knew drinking wasn't good for me & I played around with the thought of stopping every once in a while, but never enough for anything to stick. I wasn't the AA type of guy, I didn't feel the need to express my problems with a group of people. I didn't think that would be my route to recovery if I ever decided to stop. What I didn't know was that I was right. One day I was driving, on my way to take myself fishing. I had a 12 pack of Bud Light in my ice chest in the trunk. As I was driving I couldn't wait to pop a can open & feel that cold refreshing taste.      As I drove I passed a church tent revival. I slowed down for no particular reason & laughed to myself. I guess I caught them in a moment. Watching them as they were run...

Cilla Lee-Jenkins Book 12

Remember book reports when we were in school? For some they were a dreaded terrible thing, for others they were fun ways to recall your favorite book and an easy format to tell someone what the book was about. I've decided to post some reports of books I've read recently; let's jump right in.       This book was given to me as an inspiration gift because it was noticed that I enjoy writing and reading very much. At work during down time I would write short stories and I even wrote the love story of one of my married co-workers on this blog. Matter fact the person that gave me the book! You can read his story here it's called A Recovery Love Story .  Author:   Susan Tan/ Illustrated by, Dana Wulfekotte Title:    Cilla Lee - Jenkins The Epic Story Main Characters:     Cilla Lee-Jenkins, Gwendolyn Lee-Jenkins, Essie Lee-Jenkins, Ye Ye, Nai Nai, Grandma Jenkins, Grandpa Jenkins, Mom & Dad Setting:   This story mostly takes place b...
