The Chicken Situation (True story)

I met this beautiful young woman while working one of y NYC jobs she took me under her wing and helped me navigate the systems . When I met her she had a huge scar across her face. I always wondered how it got there but didn't have the courage to ask. I mean I don't know why I was nervous to ask but she ended up telling me one day and what did I say, omg can I put your story on my blog! The answer was yes. So what does any of this have to do with a chicken?

When Trisha was 15 years old her mother told her something that nobody would've believed unless they were deep into spirit magic. No average person would've done this and as she tells me this story at 42 years young she still doesn't know if she would've listened but hind sight is 2020 they say. It all started one day when Trisha's mother woke up from a deep sleep and a disturbing dream she immediately ran to Trisha's room to wake her.

"Listen daughter", she said I had a dream that you died and there was a pool of blood around you. Trisha kinda stared at her mother like, ok so. Her mother shook her like she just wasn't getting it. Baby girl if you don't do do exactly as I say you may be dead by next week. Now Trisha always thought her mother was "crazy" and too into the "spirit realm". So much so that when her mother took her to see a priestess, she felt it was completely absurd.

After listening to the priestess Trisha was stuck between a rock and a hard place. Due to the fact that something in her gut was telling her that they were right but her logical mind was just like nah. The priestess told Trisha that she would have to go get a chicken, bless it, give it a cigar and let it walk around with the cigar for 7 days. If she doesn't do it her mother's dream will come true and she will be dead. Trisha said she was not for the shenanigans even though she had this nagging feeling she should.

A few days later Trisha told her mom she was not about to buy a live chicken and have it walking around in the apartment smoking a spliff. Like seriously this doesn't make any sense. As she spoke the feeling in her gut became more intense but she still dismissed it. About a month later Trisha's friends asked her if she wanted to go out to this poppin teen night club. Trisha said yes and decided not to take her knife that she carried with her because she figured she'd have a good night.

Trisha usually took her knife everywhere but she left it home this particular night. After the club let out Trisha and her friends found themselves caught up in an altercation that had nothing to do with them. Things got wild and a knife of course came out of nowhere! Trisha was cut deeply down the right side of her face, she fell and was laying in a pool of blood. If the paramedics didn't respond as fast as they did Trisha would've died that night and now has a scar on her face.

Trisha said she reflects back to this night from time to time and comes up with two things. To this day she feels like she should've just trusted her gut and brought the damn Chicken. Through this experience Trisha says, she learned always to trust her gut and that sometimes you might have to smoke a spliff with a chicken! Thanks for sharing your story T I appreciate it and it was definitely blog worthy 💪🏾

A Recovery Love Story

Thank you Cliff for allowing me to write the love story of you & your Beautiful wife! I found this just tear jerking ❤️        There was a time in my life when my one true love was wine and spirits. I mean I knew drinking wasn't good for me & I played around with the thought of stopping every once in a while, but never enough for anything to stick. I wasn't the AA type of guy, I didn't feel the need to express my problems with a group of people. I didn't think that would be my route to recovery if I ever decided to stop. What I didn't know was that I was right. One day I was driving, on my way to take myself fishing. I had a 12 pack of Bud Light in my ice chest in the trunk. As I was driving I couldn't wait to pop a can open & feel that cold refreshing taste.      As I drove I passed a church tent revival. I slowed down for no particular reason & laughed to myself. I guess I caught them in a moment. Watching them as they were run...

We're not in LA N-E-More XII

My phone is fixed! It was broke for about two weeks, I kinda broke it myself out of frustration & it was right before Christmas. So that meant no Christmas, New years or any Holiday pics. I was a little sad at first that I couldn't post on social media but after a while I found peace in enjoying activities & not worrying about pictures or footage. I visited my son for Christmas in Upstate NY for two days, Then I went to visit my God mom for a couple days dropped her off some gifts. I went to visit my God children & my God granddaughter that was fun. My God grand daughter is two years old and my God daughter & God son asked her if she wanted to sing head shoulders, knees & toes. She said no but they decided to sing it anyway to see if she would get into it. She didn't & after they finished the song all enthusiastically this little girl with her little baby voice said " Nobody asked for all that!" My husband & I busted out laughing ...
