The Mermaid House

Hey family welcome back! As you know if you've been following my story, in Los Angeles I was a personal in home assistant. It's a job through that App called Home A Glow. If you like to clean and help people organize it might be a helpful part time job for you. N-E-way this job takes me a lot of places and into a lot of people's homes. Since being in NYC I've been able to travel around the different borough's and help make people's lives more manageable. A couple weeks ago I came upon the most interesting home I have seen in my life outside of YouTube. It's located in City Island NY, it's so beautiful there. The views of the East River are simply breath taking.

The owner of this home is a young woman in her 50's that has survived the ugly battles of divorce and is caring for her son who is challenged with high functioning ADHD. She has truly made her home her sanctuary. Upon entering it felt like walking into a huge boat. I was so impressed and the view of the East River from her main window is enough to make me stand there and stare all day. I don't have much more to say except for the fact that this woman is a living example of living ones best life despite serious emotional pain. Let's get into these amazing pictures she allowed me to take and acknowledge my favorite parts of her home.  Oh wait she also drives my favorite car The Mini Cooper and she did a triathlon when she was 41. In my eyes this woman is badass!

The Chandelier Octopus need I say more?

Each bulb in the chandelier has pink Himalayan sea salt inside with small holes in the bottom that allows air purification.

 The Bubble door knobs!

This sink is sinking, I am definitely feeling it.

The rope banister is giving let's set sail!

   Octopus door handles tho!

            Dig the Utensils.

No she didn't with the toilet handle, ya'll yes she did!

I would bathe in this tub for hours.

Welp that's all I have on that. I'm enjoying my time in NYC and I will be back with some more of my own stories and the stories of others. Thanks for reading many blessings on your Life! All photo's taken by Jodie Spartz.

A Recovery Love Story

Thank you Cliff for allowing me to write the love story of you & your Beautiful wife! I found this just tear jerking ❤️        There was a time in my life when my one true love was wine and spirits. I mean I knew drinking wasn't good for me & I played around with the thought of stopping every once in a while, but never enough for anything to stick. I wasn't the AA type of guy, I didn't feel the need to express my problems with a group of people. I didn't think that would be my route to recovery if I ever decided to stop. What I didn't know was that I was right. One day I was driving, on my way to take myself fishing. I had a 12 pack of Bud Light in my ice chest in the trunk. As I was driving I couldn't wait to pop a can open & feel that cold refreshing taste.      As I drove I passed a church tent revival. I slowed down for no particular reason & laughed to myself. I guess I caught them in a moment. Watching them as they were run...

Finding Self PT 10 (Watch Me Flow)

After the injury everything changed. Being laid up like that with no help. I had to hobble to the market only to be ran over by crowds of people that I couldn't keep up with. Being left by the Lyft because the driver couldn't figure out how to come around the corner. Just feeling helpless, abandoned and stranded. Feelings like this will put things in a different perspective really fast. Some people out there have major support and people around to help when things get tough and some people simply just don't. For me I'm one of the one's that don't but I find that strangers are always kinder to me than my own family who is by society's standards supposed to be our first safety net & supporters.       N-E-how being laid up like that and alone I had more uninterrupted time to think than I ever did in my life. Self reflection questions that I never even thought of started to pop into my mind. The first one was career wise. The question was ...
