Life is not orderly (An Anthology)

These are lines that stuck out to me when reading a book called Wild Mind, Living the writers life. By, Natalie Goldberg.

  • Life is not orderly, no matter how we try 2 make life so. Right in the middle of it we die, lose a leg, fall in love or drop a jar of apple sauce. (Don't I know it to be true)

  • What brings you back to a natural state of mind? The wildness of your mind where there is no refined rows of gladiolas. The mind is raw, full of energy, alive & hungry. It does not think in the way we were brought up to think-well mannered, congenial. (Think about ur mind, is it wild? The thing that brings me back to a natural state of mind always seems to be music or writing out my feelings.)

  • Being a writer is a whole way of life, a way of seeing, thinking, being. It's the passing on of a lineage. Writers hand on what they know. (We definitely hand on what we know to our readers & yes writing is something a writer just does.)

  • When you take care of something it lives a long time. (Agree or disagree?)

  • We don't see how a writer organizes her day or dreams up writing ideas. (Yes even being the writer sometimes ideas come out of nowhere!)

Finding Self PT 10 (Watch Me Flow)

After the injury everything changed. Being laid up like that with no help. I had to hobble to the market only to be ran over by crowds of people that I couldn't keep up with. Being left by the Lyft because the driver couldn't figure out how to come around the corner. Just feeling helpless, abandoned and stranded. Feelings like this will put things in a different perspective really fast. Some people out there have major support and people around to help when things get tough and some people simply just don't. For me I'm one of the one's that don't but I find that strangers are always kinder to me than my own family who is by society's standards supposed to be our first safety net & supporters.       N-E-how being laid up like that and alone I had more uninterrupted time to think than I ever did in my life. Self reflection questions that I never even thought of started to pop into my mind. The first one was career wise. The question was ...

A Fabulous Personal Home Assistant

Being a Personal Home Assistant is more than just a job to me. It's a peaceful and satisfying experience that I look forward to with each appointment booked. When I walk into a client's home, I take pride in knowing that I'm not just cleaning their space, but also making their lives comfortable & more enjoyable.      There's something about the feeling of a clean home that just makes everything better. And when my clients are happy with my work, it makes me happy too! It's a sense of accomplishment that one can't quite describe.     I know that some people might think that being a cleaning person is a menial job, but I see it as so much more than that. It's about taking care of people's homes & when you do it with professionalism as well as confidence, it becomes something truly special.      My clients trust me with their homes & their belongings; I take that responsibility seriously. It's not just about cle...
