These are lines that stuck out to me when reading a book called Wild Mind, Living the writers life. By, Natalie Goldberg. (Part 5)
- I needed 2 go as far as I could alone, 2 discover what I had in me & not be influenced too early. (Things I wish I did)
- Let yourself live in something that is already rightfully yours; your own wild mind! (That's y I write so much, to get the wildness out.)
- That is what falling in love is, a loss of control. (I have nothing 2 say here, just a long strong sigh.)
- This is why it is good to know & study the mind, so we may become confident in it's use & come 2 trust ourselves. (Trusting urself is the key)
- You know, I've never met a writer who wanted 2 be n-e-thing else. They might bitch about something they're writing or about their poverty, but they never say they want 2 quit. They might stop 4 months but those who have bitten down on the true root do not abandon it, if they do abandon it they become drunk or suicidal. (Dare I say that this is true!)
- Writing is elemental, once you have tasted it's essential life, you cannot turn from it w/o deep denial & depression. ( Life breathed into me ever since I started this blog)
My discovery a potato or tomato bug. I forgot which & I don't feel like looking it up🤦🏾♀️
