Life is a Resume ( Part II )

(All these Jobs were in Philadelphia)

My first tax paying job was Burger King on Chelten Ave, I was 16. I kept this job all of 2 weeks because as far as I was concerned this job was not for me. They expected me to sweep & mop that huge dining room floor & put out huge bags of trash, in the dumpster around the back of the store. I found these things to be too complicated at the time and decided that job wasn't for me.

When I was 17 I started working for Dunkin Donuts on Broad & Wyoming. This job was fun & I became the bomb at making coffee. There is a story behind this job that I'd rather not tell, but I will say I was fired after working there for a year.

After that I tried City Blue on South st. it was interesting being as though the location was so lit. I met a lot of different people from a lot of different countries but yet I still found it to be boring. A friend of mine got me into Condom Kingdom which was down the street located next to Johnny Rockets & Ruby Tuesdays. That was way more fun! I was 18 & when I heard a popular song come on from Ruby Tuesday's I would run out of the store & dance my butt off for like 4 seconds in the middle of South St. Then run back in the store. It was the highlight of my day!

I don't remember why I stopped working at Condom Kingdom but I go into a memory of working for this place called Go Internet. They sold cell phones & pagers over the phone, it was a telemarketing company. I was on my way to being a supervisor but I was pregnant with my son. When I took the time off to have the baby I didn't go back.

Uh oh at this point these jobs probably will no longer be in order due to the fact that I'm having trouble remembering the time lines. Well let's do a part 2 & see where we pick up. I've done some wild things for money but right now we're talking about every job I paid taxes with. Will I tell you about the others🤔 Maybe if you ever ask 😁

A Recovery Love Story

Thank you Cliff for allowing me to write the love story of you & your Beautiful wife! I found this just tear jerking ❤️        There was a time in my life when my one true love was wine and spirits. I mean I knew drinking wasn't good for me & I played around with the thought of stopping every once in a while, but never enough for anything to stick. I wasn't the AA type of guy, I didn't feel the need to express my problems with a group of people. I didn't think that would be my route to recovery if I ever decided to stop. What I didn't know was that I was right. One day I was driving, on my way to take myself fishing. I had a 12 pack of Bud Light in my ice chest in the trunk. As I was driving I couldn't wait to pop a can open & feel that cold refreshing taste.      As I drove I passed a church tent revival. I slowed down for no particular reason & laughed to myself. I guess I caught them in a moment. Watching them as they were run...

Finding Self PT 10 (Watch Me Flow)

After the injury everything changed. Being laid up like that with no help. I had to hobble to the market only to be ran over by crowds of people that I couldn't keep up with. Being left by the Lyft because the driver couldn't figure out how to come around the corner. Just feeling helpless, abandoned and stranded. Feelings like this will put things in a different perspective really fast. Some people out there have major support and people around to help when things get tough and some people simply just don't. For me I'm one of the one's that don't but I find that strangers are always kinder to me than my own family who is by society's standards supposed to be our first safety net & supporters.       N-E-how being laid up like that and alone I had more uninterrupted time to think than I ever did in my life. Self reflection questions that I never even thought of started to pop into my mind. The first one was career wise. The question was ...
