The Places I've traveled Part 5

I think these last 3 places were probably the most fun! The stories of what happened and how I landed in these spots were interesting too.  Let's start with Florida I've been there 3 times, the first time was with my Amazing God mother for yet another birthday trip. We went to Miami, we stayed at the Westgate in Sunny Isles Beach https://www.westgateresorts.com/hotels/florida/; courtesy of my God Sister. My God mom wasn't feeling well so I got her some food & let her rest. I was out... I went bike riding on the beach at 7am each day I was there, I went for a fan boat ride through the Evergladeshttps://evergladesairboattoursmiami.com/ & was in the water with the Alligators, it was an amazing trip. When my God mom felt better we went clubbing and out to eat.

The second time I went to Florida back to Miami I went to South Beach this time. Hubby & I went out for our birthday month. We rented a car and drove to the Florida Keys https://floridakeys.com/. Omg what an amazing ride! We went bike riding, snorkeling in the Gulf of Mexico & took pictures at the Southern Most Point. We also visited a beach in Fort Lauderdale, partied down on 2nd street & toured some great blocks that featured graffiti & other art. I really enjoyed myself.

The third time I went I visited Orlando and stayed for a week at the Westgate in Kissimmee. I went for Christmas with my mom, pop & son. It was supposed to be a family trip but nobody else seemed to make it. It was during the pandemic so it definitely got weird. Because everyone didn't come it was much more space to hang out and chill by myself lol, but I wished they did come. We went to the movies to see the latest Spider man, to Gator Land https://www.gatorland.com/ and zip-lined that was really fun, only my mom & I participated. It was hella scary but we did it! We hung out and enjoyed the resort too. It got crazy on the way home our flight & mom's train was canceled. We ended up staying an extra two days! The first day was fine it was December 30th the next morning Mom & pop found a flight and were out. My son & I however gained an extra day & spent New Years 2022 with a random girl we met that was also in disarray at the airport. They did give us food & a nice hotel room even though we had to be back at the airport on January 1st at 3am. It was a whole fiasco, my son & I ended up taking separate flights home the Uber situation was crazy when we arrived back in Philly.

After that I stayed off planes for a while that whole cancelation fiasco caused me major anxiety! California & Colorado are our last stops for now!

A Recovery Love Story

Thank you Cliff for allowing me to write the love story of you & your Beautiful wife! I found this just tear jerking ❤️        There was a time in my life when my one true love was wine and spirits. I mean I knew drinking wasn't good for me & I played around with the thought of stopping every once in a while, but never enough for anything to stick. I wasn't the AA type of guy, I didn't feel the need to express my problems with a group of people. I didn't think that would be my route to recovery if I ever decided to stop. What I didn't know was that I was right. One day I was driving, on my way to take myself fishing. I had a 12 pack of Bud Light in my ice chest in the trunk. As I was driving I couldn't wait to pop a can open & feel that cold refreshing taste.      As I drove I passed a church tent revival. I slowed down for no particular reason & laughed to myself. I guess I caught them in a moment. Watching them as they were run...

Finding Self PT 10 (Watch Me Flow)

After the injury everything changed. Being laid up like that with no help. I had to hobble to the market only to be ran over by crowds of people that I couldn't keep up with. Being left by the Lyft because the driver couldn't figure out how to come around the corner. Just feeling helpless, abandoned and stranded. Feelings like this will put things in a different perspective really fast. Some people out there have major support and people around to help when things get tough and some people simply just don't. For me I'm one of the one's that don't but I find that strangers are always kinder to me than my own family who is by society's standards supposed to be our first safety net & supporters.       N-E-how being laid up like that and alone I had more uninterrupted time to think than I ever did in my life. Self reflection questions that I never even thought of started to pop into my mind. The first one was career wise. The question was ...
