The reason I write this is because I've started a new chapter in my life. I am now considering myself a traveler & I wanted to recored all the places I've been so far, either what brought me there or just what I thought of my surroundings. I was born & raised in Philly -aka- Philadelphia which is in Pennsylvania, so we'll start there.
The home of Philly, https://www.visitphilly.com/history-in-philadelphia/ so since I was born & raised there I know the place pretty well, almost like the back of my hand. I lived in a place called Germantown most of my life. I've lived in the same house on the same corner of the same block for 18yrs. After that I lived a lot of places in Philly. I traveled around while I was there. In the late 90's I used to love to roller skate at this place called WOW, I also enjoyed being Downtown I've seen all the sights, either alone or with friends. South West was always popping, I enjoyed my time in Philly and hope u do too if you ever decide to visit. It's not as horrible as some may say, every place has unhinged people.
Let's talk New Jersey, https://www.nj.gov/nj/about/history/short_history.shtml I've been to a lot of places in this state. I've been to Camden https://www.camdencounty.com/enjoy-camden-county/history/ mostly for events & because my father's family is from there. The NJ state aquarium isn't far from there either, it's nice & worth a visit. Then there's Glassboro NJ https://www.glassboro.org/glassboro this is where my cousin & his boyfriend used to live. It was so much fun going to visit them. I absolutely love The Wildwoods in NJ https://wildwoodsnj.com/about-the-wildwoods/our-history-2/ it just might be my favorite place in America, the beach, the boardwalk, the food ooooh baby! I've been quite a few times. My goal is to stay at every hotel down there lol, why, I don't know. Can't forget about AC, Atlantic City NJ https://www.acnj.gov/, this is another beach city. My favorite thing to do there is there is driving the Go-Karts, I try to do it every time I go. There's a restaurant called Kelsey's has great food & Live music. Me & my God mother had a blast at Harrah's Resort for her birthday. I've had some romantic experiences there as well. In Burlington NJ https://www.burlingtonnj.us/learn-about-burlington/I visited my mother in law & hubby gave me a lil tour of his childhood places. They have a lot of land & beautiful well kept neighborhoods. I've also hung out in Trenton NJ https://www.trentonnj.org/306/History-of-Trenton at Jersey Weed Man's spot.
https://njweedman.shop/ This spot when not crowded is a great place to eat, listen to some music, dance and blow it down! You don't even need a medical marijuana card. The history of Jersey Weed Man is lit too look it up some time. There was also this place my son and I also used to go to every year called The Trenton Punk Rock Flea Market which was always a fun time.
The Home Alone earrings I brought from one of the Trenton Punk Rock Flea Market Vendor. https://www.punkmarket.com/Off to Ocean City Maryland https://oceancitymd.gov/oc/, Ocean city is a beach town too. They have this club called Secrets. It is so dope there and a must visit if you go. I've been there quite a few times as well; in fact that's where I took my first real vacation. It was 4 days in a Beach house with my homie and his family. Next we have Baltimore Maryland https://baltimore.org/, I've been there twice. The first time I went alone on a self care journey for four days. I had a blast by myself of course I called the homies to let them know I was good & we chit chatted sometimes. I ran around that city for 4 days by myself & enjoyed every moment of it. It wasn't too much different than Philly. The second time I went, I went with my son & his father. We went to the Black Wax Museum https://www.greatblacksinwax.org/, the Baltimore aquarium https://baltimore.org/listings/national-aquarium-baltimore/ which was breath taking and so huge. We also hung out and ate lunch on the Baltimore Harbor https://baltimore.org/what-to-do/museums-attractions/a-tour-of-baltimores-inner-harbor/. It really was a pretty cool day.
We'll talk about Delaware, New York & Virginia in the next post!
