Santa Monica Morning Walk ( LA Story)

Since living in Santa Monica California I have a habit of taking walks in the morning. I am amazed at the things my neighbors grow around here. I haven't taken the time to meet anyone or ask any questions but I do take some pics every now & then.  This one time I spent the corner and it was a huge sign that said, Beware of Beehive in Tree. Now mind you I am terrified of bees, I looked at the sign and thought well it's in the tree so I should be good. I continue to walk, I look up and see the BIGGEST beehive I've ever seen in my life a couple steps ahead! Oh nope I'm good I crossed the street so fast. I wanted to take a picture but I was too scared lol.

I do have a couple other pics that are not as exciting as the killer beehive. I was walking along and spotted a huge melon. I didn't know what kind of melon it was and I was amazed by the fact that they had to use towels and strings holding them up. I tried to speak with someone about what they actually were but the woman didn't speak english.

A little further down the block another household is growing limes. I can't wait to join the community of Green thumbs. I've seen people growing Pomegranates, Banana's, Apples, Lemons, Avocados and all kinds of things in there front yards. I'll take some more pictures soon😊

A Recovery Love Story

Thank you Cliff for allowing me to write the love story of you & your Beautiful wife! I found this just tear jerking ❤️        There was a time in my life when my one true love was wine and spirits. I mean I knew drinking wasn't good for me & I played around with the thought of stopping every once in a while, but never enough for anything to stick. I wasn't the AA type of guy, I didn't feel the need to express my problems with a group of people. I didn't think that would be my route to recovery if I ever decided to stop. What I didn't know was that I was right. One day I was driving, on my way to take myself fishing. I had a 12 pack of Bud Light in my ice chest in the trunk. As I was driving I couldn't wait to pop a can open & feel that cold refreshing taste.      As I drove I passed a church tent revival. I slowed down for no particular reason & laughed to myself. I guess I caught them in a moment. Watching them as they were run...

Finding Self PT 10 (Watch Me Flow)

After the injury everything changed. Being laid up like that with no help. I had to hobble to the market only to be ran over by crowds of people that I couldn't keep up with. Being left by the Lyft because the driver couldn't figure out how to come around the corner. Just feeling helpless, abandoned and stranded. Feelings like this will put things in a different perspective really fast. Some people out there have major support and people around to help when things get tough and some people simply just don't. For me I'm one of the one's that don't but I find that strangers are always kinder to me than my own family who is by society's standards supposed to be our first safety net & supporters.       N-E-how being laid up like that and alone I had more uninterrupted time to think than I ever did in my life. Self reflection questions that I never even thought of started to pop into my mind. The first one was career wise. The question was ...
