Welcome back, now where were we; ah ok so I shake off the rather painful sprain. I hop on the bus go home and rest for two hours. My ankle isn't hurting so I decide to go to my night job. On this job I'm standing and walking for four hours. I worked that shift like nothing happened. It wasn't until an hour before it was time to go that my knee started hurting. I kinda thought nothing of it since it was already slightly injured. I left work and headed home. I had 15minutes to shower and get ready for the day job.
As I stepped into the shower My right leg buckled and I looked down and my ankle on my right leg was swollen to the size of a white potato. I thought to myself, maybe I should just call out and stay home. My legs aren't in good condition and working on them any further wouldn't have been a good idea. I also had to call out of the day job the next day which was Tuesday. I rested for the day and decided to go to my training on Wednesday morning. Wednesday morning I woke up feeling terrible! My anxiety was doing a thing and I was so uncomfortable in my body but I dragged myself out the door anyway.
I pull up to the training location only to find out... The training started Monday and was over today which was Wednesday. I contact my supervisor and he said it was a miscommunication on his end and he apologized & said we would still get paid for the day. I decided to go to Auntie Annie's I figured maybe some coping food would help because I was about to just cry in the street. I could feel my ankle swelling but I was stressed and I didn't care. I had some trouble finding the Auntie Annie's but when I did I was fenin for my buttery pretzel. I was so ready, only to walk away take a bite and realize it was dry! I didn't even go back my ankle was sore and I was over it.
I thought about going to my case manager's office then I remembered that she told me to go to the hospital. Since I had already made it back to the neighborhood I live in, I googled hospital near me. It was a 22min walk away. Yup my crazy self tried to walk it. It didn't happen, my leg gave out. I ended up calling 911, the paramedics took to long and I called a Lyft. I was in the hospital for 5 hours. After x-rays and ultrasounds on my knee and ankle it was concluded that I sprained it pretty good.
Watch where ya walking people. Until next time I'm around. More like at home for a week with my foot up🤦🏾
