Cilla Lee-Jenkins Book 12

Remember book reports when we were in school? For some they were a dreaded terrible thing, for others they were fun ways to recall your favorite book and an easy format to tell someone what the book was about. I've decided to post some reports of books I've read recently; let's jump right in.

This book was given to me as an inspiration gift because it was noticed that I enjoy writing and reading very much. At work during down time I would write short stories and I even wrote the love story of one of my married co-workers on this blog. Matter fact the person that gave me the book! You can read his story here it's called A Recovery Love Story

Author: Susan Tan/ Illustrated by, Dana Wulfekotte

Title:  Cilla Lee - Jenkins The Epic Story

Main Characters:  Cilla Lee-Jenkins, Gwendolyn Lee-Jenkins, Essie Lee-Jenkins, Ye Ye, Nai Nai, Grandma Jenkins, Grandpa Jenkins, Mom & Dad

Setting: This story mostly takes place both in Cilla's home & in her 5th grade classroom.

Plot:  Cilla is getting prepared for middle school. She's trying to figure out if she needs to be more grown up & mature. She has a battle with what being mature even means! It also takes a look at some of the trials & tribulations that life can throw at a person.

Personal Endorsement:  I throughly enjoyed reading this book. It was very moving, I even shed a tear. My favorite thing about this Epic story is that it reminded me that I have the strength to endure. I also enjoyed the fact that Cilla is an author extraordinaire. I can relate to that. She also loves to read & her favorite place is the Library. That was also my favorite place as a young person. This book was definitely an epic adventure. Here's a good part "I don't want to talk to someone that says that there's a silver lining to every cloud, when anything bad happens. Which doesn't make a lot of sense because clouds are made of water, not silver so that sounds like pollution and not something you'd want!" I cracked up, all I can say it that this book is worth the read.

We're not in LA N-E-More XII

My phone is fixed! It was broke for about two weeks, I kinda broke it myself out of frustration & it was right before Christmas. So that meant no Christmas, New years or any Holiday pics. I was a little sad at first that I couldn't post on social media but after a while I found peace in enjoying activities & not worrying about pictures or footage. I visited my son for Christmas in Upstate NY for two days, Then I went to visit my God mom for a couple days dropped her off some gifts. I went to visit my God children & my God granddaughter that was fun. My God grand daughter is two years old and my God daughter & God son asked her if she wanted to sing head shoulders, knees & toes. She said no but they decided to sing it anyway to see if she would get into it. She didn't & after they finished the song all enthusiastically this little girl with her little baby voice said " Nobody asked for all that!" My husband & I busted out laughing ...

A Recovery Love Story

Thank you Cliff for allowing me to write the love story of you & your Beautiful wife! I found this just tear jerking ❤️        There was a time in my life when my one true love was wine and spirits. I mean I knew drinking wasn't good for me & I played around with the thought of stopping every once in a while, but never enough for anything to stick. I wasn't the AA type of guy, I didn't feel the need to express my problems with a group of people. I didn't think that would be my route to recovery if I ever decided to stop. What I didn't know was that I was right. One day I was driving, on my way to take myself fishing. I had a 12 pack of Bud Light in my ice chest in the trunk. As I was driving I couldn't wait to pop a can open & feel that cold refreshing taste.      As I drove I passed a church tent revival. I slowed down for no particular reason & laughed to myself. I guess I caught them in a moment. Watching them as they were run...
