Go Hard Workout Ending Wk 11 & 12 ( LA Story)

That's a WRAP!!!  The 3 month, 90 day go hard session is over. I just started getting back into our morning workouts again today, hopefully I will stay focused this time. We have been in California for 6 months now, longest I've ever been away from Philadelphia in one place. I keep forgetting I traveled with Rienthoffer Shows for 6 months as well, but that was a few different states and towns. A lot can happen in 90 days as you can see. Somethings you can control & some you can't, I learned to go with the flow, control what I can, make the best decisions for myself and most importantly be patient!

I was able to get my Peace Corp https://www.peacecorps.gov/ application in on time! On the medical portion they ask a lot about mental health. I was a lil scared thinking I wouldn't be considered because of mine. I ended up telling the truth and explaining myself in a very non complicated way. I wanted to go to Malawi to be a youth community facilitator but was not considered for that because of my mental health. I was, however considered for Botswana! They are reaching out to my references and if accepted I will hear from them by March 1st and be departing August 28th 2023. I'm so excited!!! I also don't work for that other restaurant  anymore this Saturday will be my last day. I'm going on to a different closer restaurant. I can walk back & forth to work so less stress. I haven't had a walking distance job since I was 17 & that was over 20 yrs ago.

Hubby is still perfecting his books & beat album. He's starting a History of Hip-Hop workshop from the point of view of a Rebelucien, on Venice beach, in the graffiti pit. The first one should be near the end of October. I'm excited about it, it should be really fun to work with him on it. This is also my favorite month, I call it costume month. I usually know what I'm going to be by now, this year I'm a lil stumped. All I know is that I'm going to be on skates dressed up as whatevea, lol.  You'll hear more about that soon, thanks for reading; take care of yourself & make the best decisions for U!

A Recovery Love Story

Thank you Cliff for allowing me to write the love story of you & your Beautiful wife! I found this just tear jerking ❤️        There was a time in my life when my one true love was wine and spirits. I mean I knew drinking wasn't good for me & I played around with the thought of stopping every once in a while, but never enough for anything to stick. I wasn't the AA type of guy, I didn't feel the need to express my problems with a group of people. I didn't think that would be my route to recovery if I ever decided to stop. What I didn't know was that I was right. One day I was driving, on my way to take myself fishing. I had a 12 pack of Bud Light in my ice chest in the trunk. As I was driving I couldn't wait to pop a can open & feel that cold refreshing taste.      As I drove I passed a church tent revival. I slowed down for no particular reason & laughed to myself. I guess I caught them in a moment. Watching them as they were run...

Cilla Lee-Jenkins Book 12

Remember book reports when we were in school? For some they were a dreaded terrible thing, for others they were fun ways to recall your favorite book and an easy format to tell someone what the book was about. I've decided to post some reports of books I've read recently; let's jump right in.       This book was given to me as an inspiration gift because it was noticed that I enjoy writing and reading very much. At work during down time I would write short stories and I even wrote the love story of one of my married co-workers on this blog. Matter fact the person that gave me the book! You can read his story here it's called A Recovery Love Story .  Author:   Susan Tan/ Illustrated by, Dana Wulfekotte Title:    Cilla Lee - Jenkins The Epic Story Main Characters:     Cilla Lee-Jenkins, Gwendolyn Lee-Jenkins, Essie Lee-Jenkins, Ye Ye, Nai Nai, Grandma Jenkins, Grandpa Jenkins, Mom & Dad Setting:   This story mostly takes place b...
