A great Day in LA! ( LA Story)

Saturday 5/21/22 Hubby took me for a stroll through LA. It all started because I wanted 2 go 2 Walmart. I love Walmart it's my favorite store. I don't attract to Target for some reason I never did. No disrespect 2 people who shop there, get your target on boo! I was told that people out here mostly shop Costco. I haven't been there yet. I don't know anything about that store but I said I will try it out. It's also way closer than far ass Walmart in Hawthorne CA. Anyway the day went great 😊

The Statue of Antonio Aguilar. I don't know that dude but I dig his statue. Find out more about him here https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g32655-d15568458-Reviews-Equestrian_statue_of_Antonio_Aguilar-Los_Angeles_California.html

We strolled through this area on Olvera St. that reminded me of Christmas village in Philly, just with a Mexican twist😊 It was Fabulous!
I wish I had gotten a better pic but I was so in awe of everything. I am going back to get me one of those cute lil handbags they had. Learn more about Olvera Street here https://www.calleolvera.com/

A Recovery Love Story

Thank you Cliff for allowing me to write the love story of you & your Beautiful wife! I found this just tear jerking ❤️        There was a time in my life when my one true love was wine and spirits. I mean I knew drinking wasn't good for me & I played around with the thought of stopping every once in a while, but never enough for anything to stick. I wasn't the AA type of guy, I didn't feel the need to express my problems with a group of people. I didn't think that would be my route to recovery if I ever decided to stop. What I didn't know was that I was right. One day I was driving, on my way to take myself fishing. I had a 12 pack of Bud Light in my ice chest in the trunk. As I was driving I couldn't wait to pop a can open & feel that cold refreshing taste.      As I drove I passed a church tent revival. I slowed down for no particular reason & laughed to myself. I guess I caught them in a moment. Watching them as they were run...

Cilla Lee-Jenkins Book 12

Remember book reports when we were in school? For some they were a dreaded terrible thing, for others they were fun ways to recall your favorite book and an easy format to tell someone what the book was about. I've decided to post some reports of books I've read recently; let's jump right in.       This book was given to me as an inspiration gift because it was noticed that I enjoy writing and reading very much. At work during down time I would write short stories and I even wrote the love story of one of my married co-workers on this blog. Matter fact the person that gave me the book! You can read his story here it's called A Recovery Love Story .  Author:   Susan Tan/ Illustrated by, Dana Wulfekotte Title:    Cilla Lee - Jenkins The Epic Story Main Characters:     Cilla Lee-Jenkins, Gwendolyn Lee-Jenkins, Essie Lee-Jenkins, Ye Ye, Nai Nai, Grandma Jenkins, Grandpa Jenkins, Mom & Dad Setting:   This story mostly takes place b...
