Meet Jodie Spartz (The Epic Journey)

Hello & Welcome to expresspassion4life you amazing awesome human:

My name is Jodie Spartz, I was born and raised in the heart of Philadelphia, Pa. I have been weaving stories together since I wrote my first one at 9 years old! Growing up in Philadelphia, I learned early on that life isn't always a straight line no matter how much I wanted it to be. Life is a series of peaks, valleys, and unexpected turns. For a long time, I thought I was just "surviving" those turns. But looking back at the miles I've traveled- from the energy of Philly and the beautiful beaches of Los Angeles California to the stillness of Pineville, Louisiana, and the towering spirit of New York City- I realized I'm not just moving I am growing.

I also know now that my writing is more than a craft; it's a testament to an epic story of resilience. During my travels I immersed myself in diverse communities, and have gathered the human experiences that fuel my work. I write with a mission: to shine a light on spirituality, mental health and self-awareness. My journey is a living narrative that is far from over, and I invite you to walk alongside me. You can find my latest reflections and follow my ever evolving story through this brilliant online journal at absolutely no cost to you. Pick a story, read a story and share a story. Trust me it's a lot of fun!

Currently I am selling books I wrote and published through Lulu's online Bookstore, that can be mailed directly to your provided address. I can also directly e-mail you an e-book if you prefer, upon request. I am selling these books to cover my last Psychology classes for my BS (Bachelor's of Science). My ultimate goal is to acquire my PHD, continue in my holistic healer journey & get my name in the Guinness Book of World Records. This has been a tough but fun and epic journey and I'm determined to reach my goals.

I would love your support. If you're interested in reading my short stories they can be purchased here: https://www.lulu.com/search?sortBy=RELEVANCE&page=1&q=Jodie+Spartz&adult_audience_rating=00

Thank you for visiting my blog and assisting me in fulfilling my dreams to keep in-sighting positive change in our world.

My Favorite common question

Q.  Jodie, why are you writing these books & why are you so transparent to everyone?

A. Because I understand that mental health struggles exist everywhere, regardless of the setting. This journal is a collection of the pieces I've gathered along the way. I've spent my life thus far studying the landscape of the human heart, focusing on the three things that have saved me time and time again: Spirituality, Sound Mental Health and Self Awareness. I also believe that resilience isn't about "getting through it." It's about what you carry with you once you're on the other side. My writing is dedicated to:

  • Breaking the Stigma: Hard conversations about sound mental health and spirituality that lead to healing.
  • Building awareness: Understanding the "why" behind our emotions.
  • Sharing the Road: Lessons learned from the incredible people I've met across America
I will leave you with this. They say your story starts the moment YOU decide it does. Even though I've been writing for decades, I feel like I'm just hitting my stride. My journey isn't finished, and I'm glad you've decided to walk a part of it with me.

Whether you've visited for inspiration, a shared sense of struggle, or a spark of passion to fuel your own life-you are welcome here.

With resilience and passion,

Jodie Spartz

Where are you currently at in your own journey of resilience? I'd love to hear from you in the comments!

A Recovery Love Story

Thank you Cliff for allowing me to write the love story of you & your Beautiful wife! I found this just tear jerking ❤️        There was a time in my life when my one true love was wine and spirits. I mean I knew drinking wasn't good for me & I played around with the thought of stopping every once in a while, but never enough for anything to stick. I wasn't the AA type of guy, I didn't feel the need to express my problems with a group of people. I didn't think that would be my route to recovery if I ever decided to stop. What I didn't know was that I was right. One day I was driving, on my way to take myself fishing. I had a 12 pack of Bud Light in my ice chest in the trunk. As I was driving I couldn't wait to pop a can open & feel that cold refreshing taste.      As I drove I passed a church tent revival. I slowed down for no particular reason & laughed to myself. I guess I caught them in a moment. Watching them as they were run...

We're not in LA N-E-More XII

My phone is fixed! It was broke for about two weeks, I kinda broke it myself out of frustration & it was right before Christmas. So that meant no Christmas, New years or any Holiday pics. I was a little sad at first that I couldn't post on social media but after a while I found peace in enjoying activities & not worrying about pictures or footage. I visited my son for Christmas in Upstate NY for two days, Then I went to visit my God mom for a couple days dropped her off some gifts. I went to visit my God children & my God granddaughter that was fun. My God grand daughter is two years old and my God daughter & God son asked her if she wanted to sing head shoulders, knees & toes. She said no but they decided to sing it anyway to see if she would get into it. She didn't & after they finished the song all enthusiastically this little girl with her little baby voice said " Nobody asked for all that!" My husband & I busted out laughing ...
