Let me just say when the energy that runs this planet says move you move. I'm happy to say my living situation has changed dramatically. I'm still working my part time job which is seasonal. I found another part time job that will take me into June 2026. Finding full time work is a whole nother job in itself. I don't have a clue as to how all this life stuff works or why none of it makes sense, but I'm alive until I'm not so I'm here for it.
Everything is going pretty well if I must say so myself. I have a couple friends now and the overnight job is definitely popping. It literally feels like being in Highschool hanging with the homies while y'all get y'all work done. Since moving I've had to readjust to my travel times, but I'm closer to the overnight job. The day job is about the same distance as it was before; an hour and a half away. Which is not actually convenient, but I gotta make it do what it do.
This is how I envisioned my week going. The overnight job started back Monday as did my day job. Ok the schedule; get off the night job at 3:30am get in the house at 4am, meditate for a half hour then get ready for the day job. Leave out by 5am get to work by 6:30am. Get off work at 8:30am, go back home; get home at 10 am sleep until 1pm. Leave back out the house at 1:30pm to be back at work by 3pm get off at 5pm, get home by 6:30pm or 7pm because there is a such thing in NYC as train traffic. Get home sleep until 9pm leave out by 10pm arrive at work by 11:30 pm. Get off work at 3:30am just to do it all again. This is how my week was supposed to go.
Of course none of this went as scheduled. Because that Monday after working my day job I fell into a pothole in the middle of the street. Sprained my left ankle pretty good and irritated my already wonky right knee. I didn't fall but my body did a lil crazy dance in the street. Two girls saw it happen and their reaction was horrified. It was painful enough for me to shed tears and I did, then I laughed at the irony and shook it off. Dear Reader what I did next was not the thing to do. I'll share in part two of this post.
